About

Healthy and energy-efficient indoor environments throughout Europe.

The main aim of Net4CleanAir is to create an international and interdisciplinary network of diverse stakeholders with shared vision of promoting clean air for healthy and energy-efficient indoor environments throughout Europe.

Through collaboration, knowledge sharing, advocacy and innovation, this consortium can make a significant impact on improving IAQ and the well-being of individuals in indoor settings by advancing a common understanding of indoor air cleaning to boost standardisation and innovation in the air cleaning industry. Specifically, Net4CleanAir will use available networking tools to jointly share the state-of-the-art, identify knowledge gaps, develop collaborative strategies to fill these gaps, and synthesise and review the knowledge to:

  • build a pan-European knowledge hub of indoor air cleaning technologies for the benefit of the research and industry communities;
  • design optimal strategies for assessing the efficacy and efficiency of indoor air cleaning technologies;
  • propose innovative holistic approaches for indoor air management, with the integration of smart low-cost sensing, modelling techniques and smart ventilation with air cleaning technologies;
  • create dissemination and training materials, and promote training opportunities, focusing on Young Researchers and Innovators;
  • provide recommendations to support decision making when selecting indoor air cleaning technology for a specific microenvironment.
